Franklin James Stalker - November 18, 2008

 SELKIRK – Franklin James Stalker, 65, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at his residence.  Franklin was born in Elizabethtown, NY son of the late Wellington J. and Phoebe McDougal Stalker.

     Franklin was an Army Veteran serving in Germany.  He was a member of the Greenville American Legion Post #291 and an associate member of the Coxsackie Yacht Club.  In 2004 he retired on disability, due to the loss of sight in one eye, from Callanan Industries, So. Bethlehem after 22 years of service.

          Survivors include his wife Catherine (Hotaling-Hepermon) Stalker of Selkirk;  sisters, Mona (Les) Hubbard of Clay, NY, Carol Harry of Lyons, NY, Linda (Carmen) Burley of Winthrop, NY and Patsy Blanchard of Newark, NJ;  children, Brian Stalker of Lowville, NY, Tammy (Ron) Juby of Lowville, NY and Kimberly Grizzle of Beverly Hills, FL;  9 grandchildren;  one great-grandchild;  step-son Brian Hyserman (Shannon) of Nassau, NY;  step-grandfather of Brian Hyserman Jr. of Troy, NY, Katelynn Hyserman of Nassau, NY and Ireland Hyserman of Nassau;  step-great-grandchild, Ryan Patrick of Troy, NY.

     Per Franklin’s request he and his girl will be cremated and their ashes as well as his original girl who passed away on Good Friday 2007 will be interred in South Russell Cemetery, NY in the family plot.  He saw all his friends in life so no viewing at his request.  All arrangements will be private at the convenience of the family.
