HANNACROIX -- Elizabeth "Betty" E. Boehlke passed away peacefully on March 15, 2014 at the age of 86 from a ten year battle with Alzheimer's. Betty was born to Ira and Agnes Sweet Finch in Cairo, on Sept. 17 1927.  She graduated from Greenville Central School in 1944.  

Betty was a lifelong resident of Hannacroix and a communicant of Saint Patrick's Church in Ravena.  She  retired from  New York State Dept. of Civil Service  and was a past assessor for the Town of New Baltimore. She was a member of  the New Baltimore Conservancy and New Baltimore Republican Club. 

Betty was predeceased by her husband of 58 years Joseph Lon Boehlke Sr.  whom she married in 1946.

Betty is survived by her children Joseph L (Gail) Boehlke Jr of Coeymans; Michael W. (Patricia) Boehlke of Frostproof , Fl.; Paula D. (Thomas) Hotaling of Central Bridge, and Cindy M. (Robert) Wolf of Latham.  She is also survived by eight grandchildren:  Jeffrey E. (Amanda)  Boehlke, Laura E. Mattice,  Michelle Andretta,  Chad Boehlke,  Jennifer (Chris) Gerken; Kelli Hotaling, Brendan (Courtney) Wolf, and Kristin (Aaron) Haacker.  Betty is also survived by 14 great Grandchildren: Jennifer Smith, Juliano Rosado, Joey Andretta, Britney  Stewart. , Kelsi  Boehlke, Elijah and Jaxson Boehlke, Madison & Nicholas  Gerken, Jeb & Charlie Wolf,  Elias Ousi, Ayden Mattice and Benjamin Haacker.  She is  survived by four sisters Ruth Swan, Marian (Steve) Schwebler, , Agnes Finch and Dorothy (Leroy) Britton  and one brother Allan Finch and one brother-in-law Jerry Boehlke of Salcha, Alaska and many nieces and nephews. 

Betty was predeceased by her siblings Evelyn Daly, Elton, William and Edward Finch and her brothers-in-law Thomas Daly and Frank Swan.

Funeral  Services will be held  9:00 Am Wednesday March 19th at Saint Patrick’s Church, Ravena, NY.  Entombment will follow in St. Patrick's Mausoleum, Coeymans.  Relatives and friends may call at the Babcock funeral Home, Ravena Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM.

The family extends our grateful appreciation to the second floor staff of Eddy Heritage House, Troy New York for the care they have given Betty over these last few years.
