COXSACKIE – It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of
our beloved mother Ruth Anne Clark on Saturday, December 31, 2016.
She is now in heaven with Dad, Jim Clark, Sr. who passed in 2009.
Mom was born September 23, 1940 and grew up in Ravena with her
parents Nelberta and Ivan Millett and brother Ivan. She had many
fond memories of Ravena. Once married she and dad built a home on
Johnny Cake Lane in Coxsackie to raise three children, Jim Jr.,
Jodi, and Jon. Mom lived a full life as a wife, mother,
grandmother, aunt, sister, nurse and friend to many.
Ruth Anne worked in healthcare her entire career, first in the
medical office for Dr.’s Weisenburn and Chaloner, went back to
college at age 40 to get her RN, as a nurse at St. Peter’s Hospital
and finally as head of quality assurance at Clark Respiratory.
While at Clark Respiratory she helped the company achieve
accreditation with commendation from the JCAHO.
Mom believed in family and to that end she and dad hosted
innumerable family gatherings. She and dad were avid campers taking
their family around much of the US and Canada. For many years we
had a seasonal campsite at Earlton Hill Campground.
Formerly she was a Cup Scout den mother and was president of the C-A
PTA. She will be sorely missed by all. Her last words to anyone
that left her company were to “watch out for the deer”.
Survivors include her children, James Clark, Jr. (Jonathan
Marston), Jodi Mayforth (Howard) and Jon Clark; grandchildren,
Courtney Chambers (James), Gregory Clark, Elizabeth, David, and
Christopher Mayforth, Faathyma, Jon Jr. and Jacob Clark; brother,
Ivan Millett (Doris).
Funeral services will be held 1PM Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at
the 1st United Methodist Church, 103 Mansion St., Coxsackie, NY
12051. Friends may call at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena on
Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory
of Ruth Anne may be made to
