SUMMERFIELD, FL – Salvatore Costanza, 76, died on Thursday, July 15, 2011. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and moved to New Baltimore at age 16. He was a brick and stone mason under Local 29, Albany. Sal was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church, Ravena and St. Mark The Evangelist, Summerfield.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth (Termini); sons, Robert of Las Vegas, Richard of Saranac Lake and Michael of Summerfield; daughter, Dianne Johnson of Stewartsville, NJ; brothers Santo of New Baltimore and Joseph of Wisconsin; sister Gerry of Virginia; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Sal served in the US Army Corps of Engineers from 1954 to 1956. He was a member of the American Legion Post 1614, Mother McAuley Council 3424 K of C and a lifetime member of New Baltimore Cornell Hook & Ladder Co.
Friends may call at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena on Tuesday July 19th from 3 to 7 PM. At 6 PM a remembrance service will be held at the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be held 9 AM Wednesday the 20th at St. Patrick’s Church, Ravena. Entombment will follow in St. Patrick’s Mausoleum, Coeymans. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice of Marion County, 3231 SW 34th St., Ocala, FL 34474 would be appreciated.
