ALBANY – William S. Ferber, 74, passed away peacefully on Sunday,
April 10, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Bill was a US Army
veteran serving during the Vietnam War. After discharge from the
Army he graduated from the College St. Rose earning a Bachelors
Degree in accounting. For 33 years Bill was a dedicated police
officer and purchase director for the Albany Police Department,
retiring in 2003.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Klenk Ferber; son, Benjamin
Ferber; grandchildren, Brody and Hailey Ferber; brother, Frederick
Ferber; sister, Sandy Ferber; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 4 PM Friday, April 15th at the
First Congregational Church of Albany, 405 Quail St. Friends may
call at the church prior to the service starting at 2 PM.
