COEYMANS HOLLOW – Robert B. Keir, 69,
passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017 at home with his family and
friends by his side. He was the son of the late Hugh and Louise Keir.
He was an US Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Bob
especially enjoyed going to work every day and spending time with
all his coworkers. He was a birdwatcher, fisherman and hunter and he
loved spending time at Caroga lake boating and spending time with
his cousins. The most important part of Bob’s live was spending time
with his loving family.
Survivors include his better half, Charla Roe; children, Bobbi-Lyn
Keir, Martin Keir, Kimberley (Paul) Hempstead and Larry (Kari) Roe;
11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Timothy (Linda)
Keir; sisters, Sandy Yerry, Hughlyn (George) Derway and Holly (Ed)
Gervais; and many nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by his
brothers Donald and Douglas Keir and sister Louise DiLonardo.
Funeral services will be held 10 am on Wednesday January 3, 2018 at
the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena. Burial will follow in St.
Patrick’s Cemetery, Coeymans. Friends may call at the funeral home
on Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions in
memory of Robert may be made to
