COEYMANS – Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Anna E. Libertucci of Coeymans ended her journey with us on the morning of April 11, 2016, just nine days shy of her 90th birthday.  Anna was born on April 20th 1926 to Dominic and Rose Bruno of Cardita, Italy and was one of seven children.

Anna was married for 63 years to the late Carmen J. Libertucci, Sr. of Ravena and is survived by her three children, Carmen Libertucci, Jr. (Janice), Richard Libertucci (Warren Rebman), Mary Clouse (Peter);  her grandchildren Michael Libertucci (Meghan), Mark Libertucci (Sarah), Jacob Clouse and Zachary Clouse;  her great- granddaughter Guinevere Libertucci and great-grandson Holden Libertucci;  her sister Edith “Lou” Germano (Anthony);  and many cherished nieces and nephews.  Anna was predeceased by her sister Rose Wolfe (Arthur) and her two brothers Anthony Bruno (Nancy) and Bert P. Bruno.

Anna went to work early and held many different jobs throughout her life to support her family.  Yet Anna is best known for her cooking skills at the Starlite Lounge and Restaurant, where she worked for over 10 years.  After leaving the restaurant business, she continued as a housekeeper for St. Patrick’s Rectory, and for several years ran the kitchen, alongside her sisters Rose and Lou, for the St. Patrick’s Spaghetti Supper annual fundraiser.  Although Anna retired, it seemed she never stopped working.  She loved to cook wonderful Italian dinners for her family, bake special cakes for friends, and take care of her grandchildren.  Anna was a kind and generous spirit, who always put her family before herself.

The family would like to thank the staff at Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home for their care and compassion during these past four years.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 14 from 9 to 10 AM at St. Patrick’s Church in Ravena.  The Funeral Mass will follow at the church at 10 AM.  The burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Coeymans.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Anna may be made to St. Patrick’s Church Food Pantry, 121 Main Street, Ravena, NY 12143 or the Alzheimer Foundation (alz.org).
