RAVENA – James S. Maki, Jr., 34, passed away suddenly April 2, 2016
in Vermont spending time with his sister. Jimmy enjoyed cutting
wood, working and joking with his father, football (He’s been a
Bengals fan since 6 years old – Loves his Orange), basketball, horse
racing and most of all, his family. He was proud of his family and
shared special moments every opportunity he had! TT was cherished
by his nieces and nephew and enjoyed traveling to visit and spend
time with them. He enjoyed life, loved to laugh, enjoyed making
others happy and lived to love. Jimmy enjoyed small talk with
anyone and could put a smile on everyone’s face. Jimmy had a love
for music and dancing at social gatherings, especially when they
involved his family. Jimmy had a heart of gold and left a lasting
impression on anyone who spoke with him. He enjoyed spending time
with his Aunt Gloria and Uncle Donald Maki at the Racino and Turning
Stone. He also loved spending time with his Uncle Bruce and Aunt
Nancy Maki betting horses at OTB. He couldn’t wait to collect his
Jimmy is survived by his father, James S. Maki, Sr.; sisters, Amy,
Ashley and Aubrey (James Burton); nieces, Chloe Pauly, Shelby
Riley, Abigail Maki-Davis, Mackayla and Mya Burton; nephew,
Jonathan Burton; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, dear friends and
loved ones. Jimmy was predeceased by his loving mother, Joanna
Eissing Maki who is waiting to welcome him to his heavenly home.
Funeral services will be held 9 AM Thursday, April 7th at St.
Patrick’s Church, Ravena. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s
Cemetery, Coeymans. Friends may call at the Babcock Funeral Home,
Ravena on Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM.
