NEW BALTIMORE – Dorothy Collier Trombley of New Baltimore entered peacefully into eternal life on August 31, 2012 at the Teresian House Center for the Elderly in Albany, she was 94. Born on September 30, 1917 she was the daughter of the late George E. and Louise Scherer Collier of Kingston. She retired from Davis Drug Store in Ravena after many years of service where she worked as a clerk. She enjoyed church and many community functions until her later 70’s.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 73 years Frank Trombley of New Baltimore, her daughter Geraldine (Louis) Meyer of Hannacroix, her son Kirk (Sandra) Trombley of New Baltimore, 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Ronald (Barbara) Trombley of Latham; her sisters Betty Collier of Kingston, Rita Radel of Pennsylvania; her brother George (Aida) Collier of Kingston and granddaughter Karen (Meyer) Trocholides of Manhattan.
Friends may call at Babcock Funeral Home between the hours of 4 and 7 PM on Monday, September 3, 2012. A Roman Catholic Funeral Mass will be celebrated 9 AM Tuesday, September 4th at St. Patrick’s Church, Ravena. Interment will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Coeymans. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cornell Hook and Ladder Company of New Baltimore with our sincere thanks and gratitude for the endless hours of dedication and support provided to our family.
